A couple of things about your wine recommendations:

Considering that both of these wine makers are currently offering their 2008 vintage Sauvignon Blanc in the market, don't you think it will be close to impossible to obtain these 1996 vintages?

Secondly, even if one could buy a bottle of 1996 California Sauvignon Blanc, wouldn't you agree that these 14 year old wines would be rather 'long in the tooth', that is to say they were best drunk at the turn of the century and now are some years - approaching a decade - past their prime?

Why do you recommend these wines?
